Mt.Cho-Oyu Expedition:

                                                   RANGE OF CHO-OYU

Cho Oyu is the sixth highest mountain in the world. Cho Oyu lies in the Himalayas and it is only possible from Tibet side, From Nepal side it is really difficult and nobody climbed at all from Nepal Some very special mountaineers can climb from Nepal side but very rarely.Cho-Oyu lies at the border between China and Nepal.Cho Oyu was first attempted in 1952 by an expedition organised and financed by the Joint Himalayan Committee of Great Britain. But at that time nobody climbed on the top, later on the mountain was first climbed on October 19, 1954 via the north-west ridge.

For the Cho-Oyu expedition either you can contact to any Tibetan trekking agencies or in Nepalese trekking agencies in Nepal.Actually it is not very technical mountain although it is over 8000m.Alpanist mountaineers also need some assistance from Nepali or Tibetan staffs.Who can help you to prepare your food in base camp and they transport your goodsas designeted your destination (Except climbing period)For the normal mountaineers they all full board services like: climbing guides, and kitchen staffs as well.

Rest of the management you need to depend on trekking agencies like:Ropes, snowbars, Camp set up in base camp etc will be done by company. In this way you can climb the mountain from the proximity of Nangpa La, Nangpa La is the main trading route between Nepal and Tibet, actually Sherpa peole used to trade via this route.

 How to get there ?.......
