Mera
region is known as Hinkhu Valley or Naulekh trekking area.One of the
most interesting area. It is famous for trekking, mountaineering and
really challenging passes of Nepal, these are Sherpani col pass and Ama
laptse or amphu laptse pass. It will be really wilderness experience.
Along
the Mera peak climbing procedures provide you chance of seeing four
high mountains over 8000m. Like: Mt. Everest, Mt. Makalu, Mt Lhotse and

Up to Mera pass supports the same Itinerary of the Hinkhu Valley trek.Then Mera pass to High camp
Mera summit back to Mera pass. Then the trail splits again either to Amphu Laptse pass and Sherpani Col pass or the trail heads to the Lukla.

Actually Mera peak is not very technical however you need all the basic equipment of any peak climbing.you need to walk a bit long way to summit,
Itinerary for Mera
Day 01: Kathmandu / Lukla by plane and continue trek to Chhutyanga
Day 02: Chhutyanga to Chetra Bu via Cheetra la pass
Day 03: Chhetra Bu to Kothe
Day 04: Kothe to Thangnak
Day 05: Thangnak to Khare
Day 06: Reserved day or rest day
Day 07: Khare to Mera Base Camp ( short day )
Day 08: Mera Bc to Mera high camp
Day 09: Mera high camp to Mera summit and get back to Mera Bc
Day 10: From this day the trail splits to Ama Laptsa pass or continue trek to Lukla
Day 10: Mera Bc to Thangnak
Day 11: Thangnak to Kothe
Day 12: Kothe to Chhetra Bu
Day 13: Chhetra Bu to Chhutyanga
Day 14: Chhutyanga to Lukla ( very short day )
